We are grateful to have an active membership that volunteers to host and organize our annual meetings, such as the highly successful meeting last year at UCLA! Here are the upcoming annual meetings that are currently planned that we can look forward to:
- 2024 (86th Annual Meeting) July 28–August 2, Brussels, Belgium
- 2025 (87th Annual Meeting) July 14–18, Perth, Australia
- 2026 (88th Annual Meeting) August 9–14, Frankfurt, Germany
- 2027 (89th Annual Meeting) July/August TBD, Flagstaff, USA (hosted by ASU)
Long term planning generally starts about 4 years in advance for these meetings, and we are happy to be putting out this call for interest in hosting the 90th annual meeting in 2028!
Traditionally, the annual meeting has varied its location across continents, to enable participation by our international membership. We especially encourage interest for the 2028 meeting from hosts that can continue that routine, though all indications of interest are welcome and appreciated. To express interest, complete the form available on the annual meetings webpage and email it to the Meteoritical Society Secretary (metsocsec@gmail.com) by April 15.
