The Meteoritical Society and the Planetary Geology Division of the Geological Society of America jointly present "The Paul Pellas-Graham Ryder Award for the Best Student Paper in Planetary Sciences," often referred to simply as "The Pellas-Ryder Award." It may be granted annually at the discretion of the Council of the Meteoritical Society and the Officers of the Planetary Geology Division on the recommendation of this Committee. The award honors the memories of meteoriticist Paul Pellas and lunar scientist Graham Ryder. Visit this page to see a list of previous awardees.
Committee members are appointed for three-year terms: three are appointed by the President of the Meteoritical Society and three by the Chair of the Planetary Geology Division of the Geological Society of America.
