We are grateful to have an active membership that volunteers to host and organize our annual meetings, such as the highly successful meeting last year at Perth! Here are the upcoming annual meetings that are currently planned that we can look forward to:
- 2026 (88th Annual Meeting) August 9–14, Frankfurt, Germany
- 2027 (89th Annual Meeting) July 26-30, Flagstaff, USA
- 2028 (90th Annual Meeting) July 30 - August 4 (tentative dates), Antofagasta, Chile
- 2029 (91st Annual Meeting) July 23 - July 27 (tentative dates), Firenze, Italy
Long term planning generally starts about 4 years in advance for these meetings, and we are happy to be putting out this call for interest in hosting the 92nd annual meeting in 2030!
Traditionally, the annual meeting has varied its location across continents, to enable participation by our international membership. We especially encourage interest for the 2030 meeting from hosts that can continue that routine, though all indications of interest are welcome and appreciated. To express interest, complete the form available on the annual meetings webpage and email it to the Meteoritical Society Secretary (metsocsec@meteoritical.org) by April 15.
