Deadline for Applications for the The Barringer Family Fund coming up - New Opportunities!
The Barringer Family Fund supports research related to field work at known or suspected terrestrial impact sites. Grant funds may be used to assist with travel and subsistence costs for field work, as well as laboratory work, computer modeling, various analyses, as well as conference presentation of results related to field work.
Two different types of grants are provided:

Student and PostDoc Project Research Grant: This grant ($2,500 - $5,000) is for upper-level master and PhD students, and post-doctoral researchers (up to 3 years after completion of the PhD) who are enrolled in formal university programs or associated with established public research institutions.

Early Career Research Grant: This opportunity may provide a $10,000 grant for early career scientists affiliated with an established university program or a public research institution. Proposals will describe a future research project focused on terrestrial impact structure(s) or processes.
The deadline for submission of proposals and supporting letters is April 1, 2025.

**MISIP 2025 is open for applications! **
The Institute for Planetary Materials, Okayama University, Japan (https://www.misasa.okayama-u.ac.jp/en/) has opened the annual Misasa International Student Internship Program (MISIP) for advanced undergraduate (3rd to 4th year) and Master's students majoring in earth sciences, physics, chemistry, materials sciences, or related fields.
Students (who have a strong interest in a career pursuing scientific research) from either within or outside Japan, regardless of nationality, are eligible to apply.
Travel expenses and daily living expenses will be covered, and accommodation in the Misasa Guesthouse, close to the Institute, will be provided.
Total number of Participants: 8.
Internship dates: July 1st (Tue) to August 7th (Thu), 2025.
Last Date of Application: 24th March 2024 (23:59 JST).
