Sidebar

The Sidebar template is a good choice for content with supporting material. For example, a History page might have a sidebar photo and bio of the organization's founder.

Because this page type affords a nice mix of visual elements, the Sidebar page is a very popular choice on most websites.

Headings

Heading 1 is reserved for webpage names. You can choose 2 through 6. As you add text to your webpage, use Heading 2 for your first subhead and descending headers for subordinate text, or perhaps another Heading 2 for text of equal importance. Write your headline, put the cursor on that line, and from the text editor toolbar use the Format dropdown menu to choose the header you want.

Lists

People scan webpages for bits of information instead of reading every word. Lists work very well with this method!

Block Quotations

Block quotations are great for separating a bit of content from its surroundings. They're used for extended quotations or testimonials. Small text (see below) is used for attribution.

I am a very old man; how old I do not know. Possibly I am a hundred, possibly more; but I cannot tell because I have never aged as other men, nor do I remember any childhood. So far as I can recollect I have always been a man, a man of about thirty. I appear today as I did forty years and more ago, and yet I feel that I cannot go on living forever.
